Mac recordings are twice the size you think
On a Retina display, a 1440-point-wide screen records as a 2880-pixel video. Crop to the window that matters first, then export at 800 px or less: cropping before scaling keeps text sharp.
iPhone videos that won’t open
iPhones record in HEVC by default, which not every browser decodes. AirDrop the video with “Most Compatible” selected in the share options, or set Settings → Camera → Formats to Most Compatible.
